A small editorial team explaining payments and credit, plainly.
We started Riverty Services GmbH because most explanations of payment processing and credit management are either written for specialists or thinly veiled marketing. We write for the reader in between.
Why we publish this resource
Riverty Services GmbH began as an internal reference document used by a small group of consumer-education writers based in Verl, Germany. As more people asked us to explain how card payments, direct debits, and credit assessments actually work, we turned those notes into a public website.
We are not a payment institution, a lender, or a credit bureau. We hold no client funds and issue no credit. Our role is to describe, in accessible language, how those systems are generally structured — so readers can ask better questions when they do work with a licensed provider.
The principles behind our content
-
Clarity over jargon
We rewrite technical payment and credit terminology into language a first-time reader can follow.
-
No paid placements
We do not accept payment to favor one provider, lender, or product over another in our articles.
-
General, not personal, guidance
Our content explains how systems typically work; it is never a substitute for advice tailored to your situation.
-
Regularly revisited
Payment regulation and credit practices change, so existing articles are periodically reviewed and updated.
